Wednesday's Project

Yesterday, I got a wild hair to do a project. Thanks to my friend, Alayna, I was able to complete my projects today.

I have wanted to make this for so long and it is finally finished!!
We are going to paint our bathroom and when we're done and get a shelf put up, this will be go in there. This is my favorite thing to say to Vaughn!!

Then I saw something like this on Pinterest and wanted to have the kids make them.

Just a canvas and vinyl

Sam enjoyed it more than I thought she would! She was probably the cleanest of them all!

My camera battery died (of course) and I had to use my phone. So the color is a lot darker. Mason was not worried at all about making a mess! He dove right in and enjoyed every minute of it!!

Sam signing "all done" she did a great job and had so much fun!
I let the kids do their own thing on this project and I think it worked out well! I was surprised at myself that I had more patience than usual and wasn't worried about letting go of control. I have some issues with that! They all did great and they didn't ruin my house, so it was a huge success all around!

The new artwork in the kids' bathroom. This wall has been bare far too long and it looks so much better to have something up there! Hopefully, every time they go in the bathroom they will remember making them and enjoy something that they made themselves!

Last Tball Game!

Monday night was Drew's last tball game! We were all so glad it was finally over. This was Vaughn's second year coaching and I think he is just as ready as some of the kids to move on to coach pitch next year! There were 13 kids on Vaughn's team and we enjoyed getting to know some kids and families that we'd never met before!

Drew was a chatty cathy! He loved talking to whom ever was on the base with him!

I think he made friends on every team we played!

This poor boy was tagged right in the face! Drew didn't know that the boy was going to try and slide in!

Even though the ball was on a tee, Drew hit it hard and sent it flying far. I think all the batting practice at the twice weekly practices paid off! The kids all did great!

This was hilarious! The baseman grabbed the ball and instead of tagging Drew, tagged his own teammate!!

Ted and Drew!
Ted was such a huge help to Vaughn! We are lucky to have good friends that volunteered their time to help Vaughn.

And he's SAFE!!
(They don't do outs in tball, but they still try to tag each other to learn the concept of baseball)

Usually, I can't enjoy the games, because I am chasing Mason. This game, however, he stayed by me and played where I could see him.

Drew loved batting.

He was quite good at it, too.

Their final cheer off...or whatever you would call it!

Drew with his ribbons! They got a participation award and their team was awarded one of the only sportsmanship awards!!! Way to go Braves!!!

Lowes, Farmer's Market & Drive in Movies!

Yesterday, Alayna and I did the farmer's market again! Vaughn dropped off Sam to me and took the boys to the Lowe's kids workshop. They had so much fun building their Madagascar cars!

Sam was so good while she was with me. She just ran around this open field and played with some of the sprinkler pipes laying around. When ever we would have people come up to the booth she would always say hello and start talking her gibberish to them! She loves loves talking to people!

After doing the Lowe's workshop the boys and Vaughn came and had lunch with me. We were right next to the Tiger Stop (a new restaurant in Jerome) booth and their burritos are sooo yummy!!

After the farmers market I got home to see the that Vaughn had made plans to go to the drive in movies with some friends. I usually try to make Vaughn go with the boys alone (I'm not the night owl I used to be) but since we were going with friends I decided I would go. We told the boys about an hour before leaving where we were going and they were so excited! It's been a few weeks since they had gone and they can't ever get enough of hanging out in their pj's watching movies with their dad in the back of the car!!

Wow, don't they look excited?
They really were, just not for pictures!
We saw Brave and The Avengers

We also ran into Drew and Mason's old preschool teacher, Mrs. Burk! Mason was so excited to see her and went running towards her when he saw her! For the next little while, he would not leave her alone. They were on the row behind us, so he would walk to the side of the car and say, "hey teacher, guess what......." and say whatever it was he wanted to tell her. It took a few times, but he finally remembered that her name is Mrs. Burk and not "teacher".

When we got home at 2:30 we just let them sleep in the car. Mason woke up mad and came into our room and let us know it! He was very upset that he had slept in the car and he hadn't wanted too! Drew on the other hand loved every minute of it!! When Vaughn went to wake him up the next morning, Drew said he wanted to sleep in the car for the whole night. Vaughn told him that he had and that it was morning time. Drew didn't believe him, so he got up and went to the backyard to make sure the sun was up and it was indeed morning time!!

Summer Days

After the famer's market I went home and set up the pool for the kids. The weather was so nice and it gave me a chance to rest for a little bit. After a while the kids started taunting Vaughn about him not being able to catch them and so he set out to show them that he could!!

It was hilarious!! He would chase them around, pick them up and throw them in the pool!

Afterwards Sam helped Vaughn in the garden. The kids love being outside with their dad and helping him work.

It was a great, busy day and we got so much accomplished!
We sure are loving these summer days!!

Farmer's Market

Earlier this week I talking to one of Vaughn's patients and she started telling me about the farmers market that has just started this summer in Jerome. She said that she had had lots of requests for a booth with treats. She said if I knew anyone to let them know that they should do a booth. Later that I day I was talking to my friend, Alayna, and I mentioned this to her. She is my adventurous friend and said that we should do it together!! After a little bit of planning we decided to do cupcakes, cookies and her grandma's carmel popcorn.

Our booth

At first we were a little worried that we had chosen the wrong things to sell. We went a few hours without a sale, but around lunch time that all changed! We started selling cupcakes like crazy and we got so many compliments on how great our booth and cupcakes looked!

Drew with Alayna's daughter, Aubrey.
They are such good friends and love spending as much time as they can together!

The kids loved the Cold Stone booth!

We enjoyed doing the farmers market so much! We won't be able to do it every week-end, but we are hoping to do it for the majority of the summer!!
(.....right Alayna?!)

Losing Teeth!

This morning Drew lost his first tooth! I poured him a bowl of cereal and with his first bite, one of his bottom teeth popped out! It has been loose for a while and he has been patiently waiting for it to come out!

His first tooth to come out!

He was soo excited! We had to go run some errands and told him that we could stop by his dad's office to show him. He could not wait to get dressed and go show his dad at work!!

When we showed Vaughn he noticed that the other one was just barely holding on and asked Drew if he could pull it for him. Drew, not knowing what to expect, said ok.

The movie is Vaughn pulling Drew's second tooth!!
This reminded me a lot of my Grandpa Bingham. He always had a pair of pliers in his car trunk and if we had a loose tooth and he came to visit he would offer to pull it out with them. I remember I let him do it once. It hurt!!! Anyway, back to Drew!

Drew was being so tough and did such a great job! We didn't think that he would lose two teeth in one day! If you look at his mouth close up, you can see the tooth coming in behind the one Vaughn pulled! That tooth definitely needed to come out soon!!

Drew was over the moon excited!! He could not stop telling everyone his story of losing a tooth and having his daddy pull the second one!

10 Years!!

Happy 10th Anniversary to us!
We celebrated by going to dinner to Chili's and going to a movie (What to expect when you're expecting, I thought it was only fitting!! ;) )

Here are just a few pictures from our "early" days!

Our Engagement Picture

At our couples/camping shower

Let's see...we've been through 3 houses, 2 rentals, lived with family three times, lived in 4 cities and 2 states, 8 vehicles, 7 job changes, 1 cat and 2 dogs, 1 college degree, 3.75 kids! Wow, time sure does fly! Thanks for the adventure, Vaughn!
 Love you!

Kids

Yesterday, my dear friend, Alayna, offered to take some pictures of my kids. It had been awhile since they had good pictures taken, so I was really excited to do it. The boys were great. She only had to take two or three pictures of them and we had them done. Sam on the other hand. Grrr! She is in that really difficult picture taking stage and did not want to smile for Alayna or sit where we wanted her to sit! Because of that we didn't get all three kids together. We were lucky to get any pictures of Sam!

These will be Sam's two year pictures.

With these pictures I hope to remember her sassiness, her determination and her bright blue eyes!
Thanks Alayna!
