Saturday was the Bingham Family Reunion. We didn't know how long we would be staying, the weather was not cooperating, so we thought it wouldn't last very long. Luckily, the weather turned out nice for most of the day! My Aunt Janice (my mom's older sister) was in charge and she did a great job!
They brought in tons of sawdust and hid little surprises in it. Then they let the kids dig for treasures in groups by their ages. Sam, Mason and Weston were in the first group. I could not believe how much stuff they found! It was like a never ending pile of surprises!! It definitely got and kept their attention!
Drew was in the second group. He also found a ton of stuff!
Sam and Weston loved this pile of sawdust. Most especially, Sam. She would not leave it alone!
Every time I looked over she was flinging the sawdust everywhere! Maybe that is why all the other kids left it alone!! They didn't want to get buried by Sam!
Vaughn trying in vain to clean Sam off and get her out of the sawdust.
But she found her way back. And who needs company? She was over there by herself for a long time! She was in heaven!!
I realized that as she was squatting that she wasn't pooping, she was shoving the sawdust UP her pants!! I am so glad I didn't have to change that diaper!!!
I guess this is the kind of girl you are when you have two older brothers!!
Drew was so excited to play games. He took my place, since I have a certified medical release from all activities that I didn't want to do! (Just kidding!) I am just a better photographer than I am at playing games!
Uncle Garth and Vaughn trying to reach the end of the nylons to get to the money in the foot of the stocking!
Luckily, for reputation sake, Heaven won the game!
Drew was more than eager to do the cookie challenge. He had to get the cookie from his forehead to his mouth without hands. It took him several times, but he did it! (He may have also had a little help from his dad!)
Sam was being so independent! When she wanted a drink, she just walked over and got one! She wasn't being shy at all.
Her scalp was CAKED in sawdust! It took several shampoo'ings to get it all out!
"Cheese!!"
With her mouthful of Oreo's. Not sure where she found a whole stack of them, but she sure did enjoy them!
My Aunt Kaye (my mom's younger sister) and my mom. She is holding my cousin, Joe's baby, Brock.
(He is so cute and made me excited again to be having another boy!!)
I'm grateful for awesome family that helped me with my kids!
Mason, Joe (cousin) and Drew playing tug-a-war.
Mason showing off the cool gloves from the tug-a-war.
Uncle Keith & Vaughn vs. 7 kids (my boys included) and Uncle ElRay.
And they all came tumbling down!!
Sam loves seeing babies! She is so sweet with them and thinks they all need to be kissed by her! I hope their mommies don't mind!! And I hope she keeps that same excitement and kindness when her baby comes home! My fingers are crossed!!
After a fun day we headed back to Jerome. The kids were once again exhausted and slept half the way home!! Again, the silence was much needed!!!
